La Pedra Remença is an excellent self-catering cottage in Spain, located in the outskirts of the small village of Sant Esteve de Llémena, in the province of Girona, Catalunya, Northeastern Spain. We are 120 kms North of Barcelona (1h 30min to the airport), 25 min drive away from Girona city, Girona - Costa Brava airport and train station, as well as 120 kms South of Perpignan, France.
La Pedra Remença offers you the possibility to enjoy your vacation surrounded by magnificent valley and forest views, with complete privacy, several spots where to stop time and let yourself dream while listening to bird song. Discover the reading hideout in the villa's forest and savour a refreshing drink. At night time, you can hear the owl and the nightingale in absolute quietness.
Girona – Costa Brava airport is a very convenient airport with many European connections. Flight costs are very reasonable. It’s only a 35 minutes drive from the villa! Barcelona airport and Perpignan airport are also in a short driving distance.
La Pedra Remença is close to quiet medieval villages such as Joanetes, Besalú, Castellfollit de la Roca where you can step back in history. The Costa Brava beaches and coastal charming towns are also less than 1 hour drive away: Pals, Begur, Palamós, Cadaques, Roses, just as an example. We can suggest enjoyable half day and full day trips according to your preferences.
You can also have an enjoyable day trip to Barcelona by taking the train in Girona station (1h10min) to downton Barcelona. Relax and forget about parking in the city.
Girona city is just 25 km from the villa. It's an appealing visit to discover its historical centre, the Jewish quarter, admire its architecture, narrow old streets, outdoor little cafes, restaurants and interesting shops.
Banyoles is also a recommended visit: its famous lake was an Olympic venue in Barcelona 92 Olympics. Enjoy walking around the lake, riding a bike or renting a boat and admire spectacular views. There are several restaurants and cafes with superb views.
We are included in the network of footpaths ITINERANNIA with 2,500km of historical trails that linked all the villages in the counties of Garrotxa, Ripolles and Alt Emporda, which means from the Pyrinees mountains to the sea.
